I did not get to the property because of flooding on the day I was driving there (I literally was not able to make it due to road closures and officials turning us away). Even though this is completely out of my control they did not agrees to cancel and reimburse me for the single night I booked.

The downhill skiing is great for a party of mixed ability - you were never too far apart to meet up again. Nice variety of runs in Geiloheisen side. Less variety of runs in Geilolia but every run a great one. Being able to also set off on lots of varied XC ski trails is also a good selling point. There are a couple of good sized supermarkets in the town.

Geilo was a great location for the particular activities we planned. There are shops in the event you left an important piece of equipment or clothing at home. Other than that, there is one public laundry facility located at a camp site....LONG LINES OF CLOTHES .....would take 5 hours to eventually wash your own clothes.

Large, well equipped comfy 3 bedroom cabin in the woods a short walk from the ski lifts in Vestlia. Very quiet and peaceful location but only a few minutes drive from the town centre. Well signposted, easy to find and super easy to check-in picking the keys up from a lock box via a link sent to your phone. Vestlia ski resort is a hidden gem, perfect for intermediates and beginners, lovely pistes and no lift queues. Loved our stay there and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in this beautiful country.

Off-season Geilo is like a ghost town.

Off-season Geilo is like a ghost town. I visited in early September - summer is over, winter has not come yet. It's a plus when you're on hike, no crowds, no noise, no waiting for toilet in monuntain lodges. But it's nearly spooky when you're out dining. September in Geilo is for those who enjoy outdoors and shorter or longer hikes but at the same time don't fancy carrying a huge backpack from cabin to cabin. From Geilo you can go some loop tours, different difficulty levels and still enjoy hot shower, hotel bed and good breakfast.

The people were very friendly and helpful, starting with the owner of the accommodation, the ski patrol, the staff of the medical centre and the bus drivers. Geilo is a wonderful place for skiing, with a wide variety of slopes and opportunities. We've been there twice and enjoyed it both times. Given that high winds meant that parts of the ski resorts needed to be closed, it would have been helpful if information about which lifts were open was easily available. For example, one of the lifts at Slaatta has a board with the lifts that are open, which is very helpful. If such information were more widely shared, hat would be great. It was an enjoyable stay at Geilo.

We had a wonderful time at the Bjørkli Lodge. The apartment was super clean, comfy and the host Alina has a very good taste with all of the inventory of the flat. Alina is a great host and a super friendly person who gave us many unique advices for places you can visit in the area. Furthermore Alina has two super cute cats :D. All in all this was the best accomodation we had during our vacation in Norway! Thank you Alina:)

The hotel seemed nice from outside, the restaurant was really good, but was not part of the hotel and it had a really good bakery inside also not part from the hotel. The hotel had a gym ( a bit dark) and a pool with a sauna which was really nice but it was very easy to fall in those floors if the floors were wet

I had two rooms with very refreshing green views. Lots of restaurants to choose nearby. Rooms are spacious enough. Clean and comfortable overall. Spacious corridors for visitors to move about. Nice buffet breakfast. Hardangervidda Nature Centre and Vøringsfossen nearby enough to visit on the way.

This was one of my favorite stays when travelling in Norway. Even though it was off-season we were able to enjoy ourselves a lot. Our villa was very comfortable and complete, it had everything you need. I would certainly be back for ski season in the future.

They found me a kettle for my room. Normally Norwegian hotels don't always have them! Great breakfast . . . lovely pool, lovely hot tub . . . all in price. Even though I went out of the ski season the area had beautiful autumnal walks . . .
